Fence Laborer

Fence & Deck Depot, founded in 2001, installs fences and decks to both residential and
commercial customers. We view ourselves as a services company that builds fences and decks.
As one of the largest providers in the St. Louis market, we are a team of over 50 people and install
over 40 miles of residential fencing and 60,000 square feet of decking annually. Our culture is

We are seeking a customer-service oriented and safety conscious Fence Laborer. They should
be a craftsman at heart who will provide superior service to customers in a variety of job locations
in and around the Greater St. Louis area. We work year-round and supply all the needed tools,
trucks and equipment for this position. This is a full-time year-round position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install a variety of fence and gates of varying sizes and materials

  • Install small fence projects

Education, Experience, Knowledge:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Capable of performing heavy physical labor

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Desire to exceed customers’ expectations

  • Personality to interact with customers at job sites

  • Clean and valid driver’s license

  • Carpentry skills

  • Prior fence experience is preferred, but we are willing to train

Physical Requirements:

  • Intermittently lifting 30 lbs. above knees for several hours

  • Bending at the knee in various positions for several hours

  • Need to be able to lift up to 80 lbs.

  • Extensive walking each day

Work Environment:

Since this position is year-round and mostly outside, you will need to be able to work in various weather conditions, such as heat/humidity, rain and cold.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience. After the training period is complete, the potential to earn $55k-$65k per year.

  • Eligible for full Health, Dental and Vision benefits, including additional voluntary coverages
